Oskar
Janner was born in Gothenburg, Sweden on June 29, 1968. When just three years old, he began to read music scores
and take piano lessons. In 1977, at the end of second class in school, he played "The Entertainer" with the whole
school as audience. In 1985 he got three ragtime folios with music by Scott Joplin from his relatives, and started to
explore them. His favorite piece at that time was "Maple Leaf Rag".
In 1993 he began his career as church musician i Småland. He has since then composed music in several genres, and among these some ragtime compositions.
